Hello,
My name is Audrey Zofchak. I am an art educator and artist living in Ferndale, Michigan. I hold an MFA in Studio Art from Wayne State University (2018), a BA in Film Production from Grand Valley State University (2005), and an Associate degree in Fine Art from Oakland Community College (2009). I also hold a Standard Michigan Teaching Certificate with an edorsement in K-12 Visual Arts Education (LQ.)
I teach Visual Art K-5 at Dearborn Public Schools. Prior to my current position, I taught Visual Art at Ferndale High School in Ferndale, MI and at the Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts in Oak Park, MI. I have also taught Visual Art at Cesar Chavez Academy High School in Detroit, MI (2018-2021.) Additionally, I served as an Instructor, teaching Art Appreciation (dual enrollment) through Henry Ford College (2019-2020).
I have also worked as an Instructor-of-Record/GTA at Wayne State University (2017-2018), as a Teaching Artist through the College for Creative Studies Community Arts Partnership (2014-2016), and as an Instructor with the painting-as-entertainment company, Painting with a Twist (2011-2018).
Prior to studying Fine Art, I worked for CBS Radio (2007-2012) producing digital content; including websites, graphic design, photography, and video production.
My hobbies include painting and gardening. I am currently restoring an old bungalow in Ferndale, MI where I live with my spouse.
